Comprehensive solutions to the 594 mathematics problems from the 11 sample tests in The Official SAT Study Guide(tm) published by the College Board.
.

Hundreds of thousands of high school students take the SAT as one of the steps in preparing for college admissions. While many students first take the SAT late in their sophomore year, most students take the SAT in their junior and/or senior years. More often than not, students take the test more than once in an attempt to improve their scores.
The authors of the SAT, the College Board, publish an extremely helpful book: The Official SAT Study GuideTM, available from their web site and sold in retail stores. The book includes eight practice tests covering the three sections of the SAT: Critical Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
The mathematics component on the SAT and the practice tests in the Guide each contain 3 sections with a total of 54 problems per test. All but 10 of the problems have multiple choice answers. Ten problems must be solved and the specific solution written on the test (called a student-produced response or grid-in). The College Board’s study guide provides an answer key with the letter corresponding to the correct multiple choice answer and the specific numeric answer to each of the 10 non-multiple choice problems. However, the official SAT study guide DOES NOT provide any explanations as to how to solve the problems!
The SAT Mathematics Solution Guide© was written to be a companion to the College Board’s Guide.
The SAT Mathematics Solution Guide© provides a comprehensive set of explanations for the 432 mathematics problems in the 8 sample tests.
The SAT Mathematics Solution Guide© was developed as a result of my personally tutoring hundreds of students who were preparing to take the SAT.
The SAT Mathematics Solution Guide© is a valuable companion to The Official SAT Study GuideTM. The book should be used by students who are preparing to take the SAT and who may or may not have a professional, experienced mathematics tutor to help them. The book may also be used by the thousands of teachers and/or tutors who work with students in order to insure that the teachers/tutor’s explanations are thorough and accurate.
I wish all of you the best as you prepare for and take the SAT. Have a wonderful college experience!
